I was not able to save the value of the custom field added to Media (Image).

Can you check?

So the standard image field isn’t saving? It certainly works for me. Do you get any kind of error message? Thanks

There was no error message, and a value was not reflected even if it clicked updating.

Functions.php I have set so might cause, I see by looking.

The field was not saved although I created and tried the site newly.
The error was not displayed with a debug bar plugin, either.

Theme is Twenty Twelve(default).

Hey there, this still seems odd, as I’m not seeing any issues with image fields, and if there was a general issue, a lot of other people would see it too. Are you able to inspect the database to see if the field values are being stored? For image fields, this is a full URL to the image.

We need to try to work out where it’s failing 🙂

Thanks

Although a Caption, Alternative Text, and Description have been saved, the filed value was not saved in a database.

I recorded my situation.

Thanks.

Ah got it, so this is when using the Media Post Type. Thanks for the recording, I’ll look into it.

Hey there,

I’ve just released the first 1.0.2 beta, which includes a fix for this, among other things.

https://www.masterpressplugin.com/support/downloads#beta-intro

Let me know if it works.

Thanks

MasterPress 1.4.1 is now available

27th May 2024

This update addresses backwards compatibility issues that were introduced in the previous update. There were some edge cases where PHP 7 had issues and it didn’t work at all on PHP 5.6. We have now changed it so that the PHP 8 compatibility changes will now only affect PHP 8 and will be more thorough…

Plugin Requirements

MasterPress requires a minimum of WordPress version 4.9, MySQL 5.6, and PHP version 5.6.20.

We also recommend that PHP is configured to use a memory limit of 64MB per request (128MB may be required for sites with higher complexity).

This plug-in is not compatible with the WordPress.com hosted service.
