MEOW :: regard_field_terms( Boolean $$setting = null )

Returns:

  • Boolean The current setting for "regard field terms".

Gets or sets the current setting for regarding custom field terms across the API. If this setting is on the following behavioural methods will regard taxonomy terms that are assigned via the Related Term field type in MasterPress, in the manner specified:

  • in_a and all related methods will include posts in their results that have related term fields assigned to the given term(s).
  • MEOW_Post::terms will also include terms in its results that are assigned via any Related Terms within that post.
  • MEOW_Term::posts will include posts that are assigned to the term this method is called on via Related Term fields.

Note: the regard field terms setting is off by default. 

Example:

Parameters:

  • Boolean $$setting = null

    A boolean to switch the setting on (true), or off (false). If this is not specified, the setting won’t be changed but simply returned.

Plugin Requirements

MasterPress requires a minimum of WordPress version 4.9, MySQL 5.6, and PHP version 5.6.20.

We also recommend that PHP is configured to use a memory limit of 64MB per request (128MB may be required for sites with higher complexity).

This plug-in is not compatible with the WordPress.com hosted service.
