WOOF :: type( Array / String $arg )

Returns:

  • WOOF_PostType An object representing the post type, when arg is a single post type name
  • WOOF_Collection of  WOOF_PostType A collection of zero or more post types, if arg is an arguments array.
  • WOOF_Silent An object for silent failure if the post type cannot be found

A synonym for the post_types method, to return a single WOOF_PostType object representing a post type name in the $arg parameter, or multiple post types if the $arg parameter is an arguments array, as would be passed to the WordPress function get_post_types().

Note: For readability, the intention is that this method is usually used to retrieve a single type.

Example:

Parameters:

  • Array / String $arg

    Either a string representing the post type name, OR an array representing args to pass to WordPress’ get_post_types. Note that you CANNOT use the string representation of the arguments for this function, as it will be assumed tat a string is a post type name.

MasterPress 1.4.1 is now available

27th May 2024

This update addresses backwards compatibility issues that were introduced in the previous update. There were some edge cases where PHP 7 had issues and it didn’t work at all on PHP 5.6. We have now changed it so that the PHP 8 compatibility changes will now only affect PHP 8 and will be more thorough…

Plugin Requirements

MasterPress requires a minimum of WordPress version 4.9, MySQL 5.6, and PHP version 5.6.20.

We also recommend that PHP is configured to use a memory limit of 64MB per request (128MB may be required for sites with higher complexity).

This plug-in is not compatible with the WordPress.com hosted service.
