WOOF :: truncate_advanced( String $string, Integer $length = 80, String $etc = ..., Boolean $break_words = false, Boolean $middle = false )

Returns:

  • String The truncated string (or not, depending on the length and options)

Performs the same truncation as the truncate function, but with traditional expanded function arguments.

Example:

Parameters:

  • String $string

    The string to truncate

  • Integer $length = 80

    The length the string must exceed for truncation to take place (characters)

  • String $etc = ...

  • Boolean $break_words = false

  • Boolean $middle = false

Plugin Requirements

MasterPress requires a minimum of WordPress version 4.9, MySQL 5.6, and PHP version 5.6.20.

We also recommend that PHP is configured to use a memory limit of 64MB per request (128MB may be required for sites with higher complexity).

This plug-in is not compatible with the WordPress.com hosted service.
