WOOF :: remote_get( String $url, Arguments $arguments = array() )

Retrieves a remote web page using the HTTP get method, via the WOOF_Request class, which is a wrapper for the WordPress HTTP API.

Note: this method can also cache the result for a given amount of time, providing a very concise way to retrieve the content of another site or service in a performant manner.

  • String $url

    The url for the remote site. Note that you may drop the protocol in which case the method will assume you want “http://”

  • Arguments $arguments = array()

    An arguments string or array supporting the following parameters:
    * cache – a string representing a duration of time, as accepted by the WOOF::cache method, or false if you do not wish to cache (the default)

MasterPress 1.1.4 now available

MasterPress 1.1.4 is now available. This release contains an important compatibility fix for WordPress 4.5 to allow correct detection of the taxonomy term editing screen. Plugin Requirements

MasterPress requires a minimum of WordPress version 3.4, MySQL 5, and PHP version 5.2.4.

We also recommend that PHP is configured to use a memory limit of 64MB per request (128MB may be required for sites with higher complexity).

This plug-in is not compatible with the WordPress.com hosted service.
