WOOF_Post :: is( Mixed $post, String $type )

Returns:

Checks to see if this post is the same as another post. The $post argument is passed into the WOOF::post method to retrieve a post object first, and so can be any of the types accepted by that method (id, slug, or a WOOF_Post).

Example:

Parameters:

  • Mixed $post

    The “id” to search for – this argument is flexible in that it can be any one of:

    • A post slug – e.g. “about-us”
    • An integer post ID – e.g. 20
    • A WOOF_Post or MEOW_Post object (which will simply return itself).
  • String $type

    The type of post to search for. NOTE: This is only considered when a slug is provided for the id argument.
